There’s only one thing I don’t really like about this site — the ads. For me, GelBooru has the most annoying advertisements. I’ve visited tons of adult entertainment places online before, but this is the only platform that got to my nerves. 

Now, let me tell you a story. One time I opened up a link on GelBooru in a new tab. It went alright, but the only problem is, the original tab was directed to an ad. What a bummer, right? I had to get rid of the ads first before checking out another image. 

When I tried doing the same sequence again, I was surprised that the ads didn’t appear. So yeah, I don’t really understand how it works or if there’s a damn code here. 

What I’m saying here is, GelBooru can be sneaky and shady with their ads. I’m telling you this so you know what to expect and you won’t get pissed off as I did. 

Also, the tag system might require some getting used to before you finally learn how everything works. Take note that using tags incorrectly can lead you to an error page with a message telling you to check your blacklist. Honestly, I don’t understand what it meant, so I tried searching it on Google but to no avail. That’s when I realized I might need to figure out how these tags work, so I won’t get the same error message again. 

I just hope the site can give us an explanation of why this is happening instead of giving us incomprehensible texts. Doing so can make the website more welcoming, especially for first-timers.

But of course, I fully understand that the weebs behind GelBooru has a sensible reason for this complicated system. They might be driving me nuts with their tags, but I can’t deny the fact that they’re smart— I’ve to give them that.

Overall, I think GelBooru deserves a double thumbs up. As a matter of fact, I won’t hesitate to recommend this to doujinshi fans, hentai addicts, anime geeks, and weebs who want to transition to a Westernized style of entertainment. 

On your first visit, you might already notice that it’s well-designed. However, it can also have this inclusive nature that can be hard to breakthrough. That’s why you might need the patience of a saint in getting the knack of things on GelBooru.
